What is Pima County JTED?

The Pima County JTED is funded through your tax dollars to provide students in Pima County as many career opportunities as possible within the county. There are two types of programming that JTED funds. High schools within our district are funded in part through the Pima County JTED. The first type of programs and classes offered are by way of infusing an enhanced revenue source into our high schools so that as many students as possible have access within their own high schools to classes that lead to a credential and career. The second program they offer is at their own central campus programs. Central Campus programs are located both inside our boundary (at Empire High School), but the majority of their programs are outside of our District boundaries and each site has a specific set of programs. These programs take place in the late afternoon and evening. JTED Central programs are completely FREE !!!

What type of students attend the Pima County JTED?

ALL types of students attend JTED programs. Students who plan to go directly to work or students who plan to go to a major university can and do benefit from these programs. These programs are about building skill, competence, passion, and knowledge about the various career pathways. Many programs have industry recognized certifications that are awarded after completing the program. JTED is for EVERYONE !
