Biotechnology uses technology and science to solve some of today's most pressing issues. Learn techniques used in forensic science, genetic engineering and bio-manufacturing. Use your skills to solve some of our most challenging issues today, including emerging diseases, antibiotic resistance and alternative energy sources.

Here are some of the things you can look forward to while in the program:
WORK BASED LEARNING
Students will make a chemical inventory and equipment inventory for the biotech lab.
Students will develop a chemical hygiene plan for the lab.
Students will calibrate equipment and maintain equipment logs, perform quality control analyses, separate compounds based on different properties, and culture microorganisms.
